Difference between Hashimoto and hypo?

Does anyone know what the difference is between Hashimotos and hypothyroid?  Thanks for you insight!

Hashimotos is an auto-immune disease that destroys the thyroid and causes hypothyroidism. Just one of many causes of hypothyroidism but very common.
Hypothyroid is the name for the underactive thyroid.
