Do Any Thyroid Cancer Survivors Know What % Of Cancers Have No Hypoechoic Halos Around The Nodules, & Round Shape,Solid,Hypoechoic?

Do any thyroid cancer survivors  know the %  of thyroid cancerous nodules that have no hypoechoic halos around the nodules, round shape, hypoechoic and or solid and do  any of you know if you had these Ultrasound features of your nodules, and for those who had benign nodules especially with normal thyroid function, did you have any of these Ultrasound features of your nodules? I would really appreciate it if you let me know.

Thank You

Thank you for letting me know. My solid nodule is actually the one described as isoechoic and solid.

My Dr. says and the radiologist at The University of Penn Hospital  wrote in my Ultrasound report done there in July and just thursday that none of my three small nodules meets the criteria for biposy but from all of the information I have about no halos.round shape,in addition to a solid and a hypoechoic, nodule I think they are wrong!

redhead87, was there any other description of your nodule(s) like solid, hypoechoic, round shape or absence of a halo sign? Do you still have a copy of your ultrasound report and see what it describes please?

My report on my cancerous nodule said that it was a heterogeneous complex mass with minimally increased vascularity.

My ultrasound report does say one of my three small nodules is hypoechoic, one is isoechoic and solid, and there is no mention of my nodules having halos around them and in the majority of thyroid cancers, the halo is absent!  My report only says that I don't have calification and that blood flow is normal.

If  US report does not mention  hypoechoic, halos, vasuclairty , can we assume that they wre not obeserved or radiologist just didint check them?

I had normal labs, hypoechoic but no mention of halo and it was benign follicular adenoma (two of them).

Maybe Dr. Lupo will have a stat for you ?
