Thyroid nodule

My doctor has been watching a nodule for the past 15 months. My latest scan shows a decrease in size, and her email to me stated that the radiologist doesn't believe it is something to be concerned about at this time. I had follicular thyroid cancer 7 years ago, and have been battling the typical symptoms of hypothyroidism since. Usually, the doctor's email will say something closer to "this is good" when giving me results. What are the possible issues in which a nodule decreasing in size is something to be concerned with? Thank you for your time!

That's what I was thinking, but on looking at some info, I found out it is possible for nodules to appear after TT. Perhaps, it's a lymph node nodule, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I am having my labs this week and will know those results soon. I am on levothothroid 125mcg and cytomel 12.5mcg. I switched over from Armour in February.

Thanks for your response, I hope I find out soon what this shrinking nodule indicates!

Just happened upon you other post, in which you stated that you'd had TT; I'm sorry, but I don't understand, exactly.  You had a TT, but you have a thyroid nodule?

Typically, when a person has thyroid cancer, the thyroid is removed; I wonder why yours wasn't.

Do you have current thyroid hormone labs that you could post, along with reference ranges?  This could include TSH, Free T3 and Free T4, at least.  Do  you know if you have an autoimmune thyroid disease?

Are you currently on thyroid medication of any kind?  If so, which  med/dose?

Have you had a thyroglobulin test?  That could tell you if you have a recurrance, at least that is what they are having me do for the next year up to 5 years.
