0.8cm was the solid nodule and 0.3cm as the calcification. Doc said that cancer grows and even though this sort of cancer grows slowly, you would probably see something different in 6 months.
Those who have the scan have cancer so it is a precaution in case they fall into that small % where there is spread, etc.,
How small are the nodules in ?
Mine is 3mm on the intact side so too small and it hasn't changed size in the past 6 mos at all .. it is "stable" so they say compared to ultrasound done last October.

Basically the doctor told me it was to small to biopsey just yet (just as some of the folks here said too). That it "could" be done but it was probably in my best interest to wait 3 months just to be safe. If I feel at that time I would just feel better with the biopsey, he will do it. He said that this nodule could possibly even shrink? Is that true?
Can I ask a question? I'm seeing that some folks after getting the thyroid removed have a scan to see if it spread. If doctors are always saying it rarely spreads beyond the nodes sourrounding, why the scan?
That is the key word "feels right" . YES .. love that word bcz trusting yourself is the best step of all!
I am 80% comfortable with my decision to keep the other side in for now and watch and wait and it "feels right" 80% vs. 20% in a holding pattern .. so the higher the "feels right" # goes the better for me LOL!!
