Yeah. I agree! It is my health, not his! Thanks!
Go to the top rt area of this page and you will find where it says health pages....it also says discussions, trackers and members. You want to click on health pages....then look for armour information page.....at the bottom of the armour information page you will find the link to take you to the prescribing information for drs. You can print it and take it with you to help you delicately show your dr the proper way to treat and test with armour. Just be gentle and say....I found the prescribing info on armour for drs and printed it to bring to you....smile real big! lol Then proceed quickly to say.....increases are suppose to be done every 2-3 weeks and bloodwork every 4 weeks until I reach optimum levels.....I guess it is quite a bit different than synthroid....smile again!
Get the pic? If he gets offended to darn bad! This is your health not his!! If the roles were reversed with our doctors you bet your bottom they would have a diff attitude!
Hope this helps and let me know if you cannot find the link....I will then copy and paste for you here. :) :)
I cant seem to find the timeframe incraments. Where is it? Can you explain it. Everyone says go to the bottom of this page to health page, I cant find it. Do I show this timeframe to my doctor? Will he be offended? How do I handle this in a respectful manner?
When first dx, I was put on Armour, and if I recall correctly, I felt the effects within the first month. It was a dramatic change for me, and I wasn't taking it but once a day but then everyone is different. I started on 30, and increased to 60 I believe within the first month.
I have been chasing that first thyroid high ever since. ; )
The reason you have low energy is because your dr is keeping you from proper increase timeframes. You are going to continue to feel hypo until you are at optimum levels. Try to be patient....unfortunately you are going to have to put up with the hypo symptoms until your dr gets it into gear with proper treatment.
