Any one have an answer

My TSH has been .01 for half a year now and finally getting meds
My concern is that my igf-1 has been steadily increasing. I am 44 yrs old, female and numbers have been
217 on 1/16/2009
288 on 3/10/09
295 on 4/9/09
333 on 6/6/09
Doc says don't worry because GH test came back normal in June
Should I be concerned?
Any ideas, advise or comments would be greatly appreciated . I need a little piece of mind

I also think you should be tested for IGA.
Usually the IGA and IGF go hand in hand and both are Autoimmune Diseases.
IGA causes anaemia and also low immune system.

It wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion.

I personally think you should look at the pitutiary - more than the Graves idea.

IGF-1 is a growth hormone that should decrease with age not increase. It is produced in the liver and often is used to test the pituitary gland. GH is the hormone in the pituitary if the igf-1 is high then usually the GH is off but only my IGF keeps on rising.

I think I have Graves but doc won't say. I think I have the antibodies
TSH     .01
T3        212 NG/DL
T4       1.5NG

Thyroid peroxidase AB >1000  range <35IU/ML
Thyroglobulin AB  59        <20 IU/CL
Should I get a new DOC
