TSH of that high is not a problem but make sure your Free T3 and Free T4 values are in optimal or at least in normal ranges. Also the main thing, watch out your symptoms. For example if you are feeling cold when the temperature is medium or high then its hypo mode and if feeling very hot unusually then its hyper. Many other symptoms there.
If TSH is the only thyroid test being done to diagnose and treat you, then you need a new doctor. A good thyroid doctor will treat a hypothyroid patient clinically by testing and adjusting the biologically active thyroid hormones, Free T4 and Free T3 as needed to relieve symptoms, without being influenced by resultant TSH levels. Symptom relief should be all important, not just test results.
Also, please tell us about any symptoms you have.
