Endo sent me to the ER, Please help!

Well, I was changed to Levothyroxine when my blood results showed the I had too much T3 due to Westthroid.  Well.. I had an allergic reaction to the Levothyroxine, which was compounded.. I went in for blood tests.. was feeling horrible... and once the endo saw me, she sent me directly to the ER.  At the ER i had a EKG, which showed normal rythmn.. ( even though i have PAC's) Here are my test results..

FT3-2.96   RR-2.00-4.00
FT4-1.03   RR-0.76-1.46
TSH-10.820  RR-0.360-3.740
My blood pressure was 97/52

It was obvious that the new medication was not working correctly.. and I was indeed having an allergic reaction to it.. so my endo has since taken me off the medication... and has now placed me on compounded thyroid, (porcine) 1/2 grain every other day, and 1/4 grain on the other days.

I know so many of you have probably been where i am now..  this roller coaster is having a very depressing effect on me. I know that my heart is throwing PAC's because I am not getting enough thyroid medication.  This is what i felt like when i first was going through this before i was diagnosed.

I am now taking the new meds... i am really scared... i feel like a lab rat!! I was doing fine on the Westhroid until the started putting a coating on it.. after that.. it was shown that i was having a sensitivity to it... i even tried scaping off the coating... out of desperation.. even calling the company to ask if i could get it without the coating.. ( no i cant)

so i am now again, on natural derived thyroid.. i guess i am just venting.. i am feeling really crappy.. and the ER doc said that it will be about a week before i stop feeling so bad..

I just think it was so strange.. after about 5 days on the levothyroxine, my T3 must have plummeted.. i dont know really.. but i stopped eating... felt "out of it"  really shaky on the inside... i kept taking it because my endo said to give it a chance.. so i did.. I have dropped about 15 pounds in the last 2 weeks... even stranger.. my heart rate and blood pressure.. while i was on the Levothyroxine, was low low low... BP was averaging 95/57, and HR was in the low 50's....when i would get up.. it would sky rocket into the 90s

now i seem to be getting better... and believe me. i know that Levothyroxine has saved countless lives!!  I am just like.. UGH.
my BP is 114/68 today.. so i think things are getting better.. i still feel profoudly " strange, in a fog, and very sad" i cant really descrbe it.
anyone who has gone through having to take different meds... trials and errors.. i would love to hear your story,... it would really give me some hope.
I also have hashi's, and auto immune disorder.. and a myriad of other things.. but this.. well.. this seems to be the main thing that really controls everything else. even my digestion. Take care all hope to hear from you guys soon.

They placed me BACK on the natural dessicated pig thyroid... as the T3 did in fact plummet.. I am just sooo tired.. and soooo ughgh.. i am sure that you know what i am talking about.. i used to have a low normal T4, and a T3 that was highish normal.. i felt just fine ..lol.. so..  think thats why they have changed me back to he dessicated porcine.. but this time.. we will do more blood tests to ensure the T3 doesnt get too high.. I DO have other auto immune problems.. such as psoriasis.. shingles, UC and PC...

This is my third day on the natural thyroid.. feeling alright so far.. just sooo tired and have NO energy at all.. i get up.. walk around.. then have to sit right back down again.. i feel like its my fault.. because when they told me that my T3 was too high.. and i had to cut down.. maybe theycut me down to far.. which then led to the high TSH level.. which put me into this world of terror. lol. anyway.. thankyou for the info!!

First off, Hashi's IS an autoimmune disorder; do you have others?

It's not unusual to have symptoms when changing to a new med/dosage.  Your TSH is high, while both your FT3 and FT4 are relatively low (FT4 close to mid range)  It generally takes 4-6 weeks for the new dosage to take full effect.  I'm sure your FT3 plummeted since you went from Westthroid, which has T3 in it, to levothyroxine, which does not.  Once the levo has had a chance to stabilize, you might have to ask your doctor for a small dose of T3 med. since it's very possible that you aren't converting properly.
