Endocrinologist

Looking for a GOOD endocrinologist in Bergen County, NJ....does anyone have a suggestion?

Have a look through this list of top thyroid doctors in NJ.  There were a number that sounded very promising, based on patient feedback.  

If you contact one of these doctors, you might ask to speak to one of the nurses before making an appointment, and then ask these questions.  First, does the doctor treat patients based on symptoms, by testing and adjusting the active thyroid hormones, free T3 and free T4, rather than relying on TSH as the diagnostic?  Also, is the doctor willing to prescribe medications other than a T4 only type med?  If the answer to either is no, then you might as well keep looking.

You really need to do the 'ring arounds' Call different ones, ask the questions you want answered. A lot of the time it is only by word of mouth do we find an endo that is 'good'
