Yes, it is hard to know who is the right choice; sometimes, it becomes a matter of trial and error.
Don't forget to check out ENT's and internists, as well as endos.
Very sorry I can't be more help.
Ty been doing that...hard to know who is right choice unless someone knows this doctor.. ty for the assistance
I'm sorry, I'm located in FL, so no, I can't recommend anyone; however, I will be glad to do some research and see what I can come up with.
In the meantime, you could call some of the endos in your area and ask about their experience with parathyroid treatment.
do you recomend someone? where are you located? i am in dallas/ ft worth
Parathyroidism is not the same thing as a thyroid condition. The only relationship the parathyroids have with the thyroid is their location in the body. Be sure when making an appointment, that the doctor is versed in parathyroids, not thyroid.
Wow..... Can't say I trust everyone in his group. Go see gutsman. She's the best
ps - if you call there, ONLY see her. DO not see her PA or any of the other doctors in her practice. She has a degree in cell molecular development and is an expert in treating thyroid disease. The rest of her staff are just doctors who treat every day stuff and dabble in thyroid.
good for you. who were you seeing?
look up astrid gutsman in mckinney. She is very well versed at treating thyroid and is a wonderful doctor. ALl she does is thyroid and weight loss. Her staff gets poor reviews because she is the director of a very busy walk in clinic but you cannot see her without an appointment. Who retired?
i am in dallas/ ft worth..yes sir I take calcium and rocatrol. Since my doctor retired i wanted to sever myself from office. Ty for your assistane.
I see you are in texas. What part of texas are you in? are you taking a particular medication to control this condition? If so, you can call your local walgreens or kroger and ask "who in my area is prescribing this type of medication as my doctor has retired".
I am in the Dallas area and would only recommend one or possibly two endos at the most. You are possibly better off seeing someone that specializes in your condition as i have found that endos are very good at diagnosing thyroid issues but sometimes not so well at treating and managing the disease.
You can also call a compounding pharmacy in your area and ask them for a list of who they recommend.
If you are in Dallas or Houston, I would be glad to help with some suggestions.
