Estrogen and Hyperthyroid

I've been on Premarin .625 for two years for complete surgical hysterectomoy I had at age 42.
Today I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroid.  Would changing my estorgen have a positive effect?
Are they related?

While I do feel geared up inside (heart racing, hands shaking), I'm fatigued all the time.  I do have an appt with the endocronologist.  I'd like your opinion.

I don't have any details on the labs.  I just know that my thyroid level was high.  And yes, I'm experiencing the fatigue on and off.  It lasts for days.

My pulse has been as high as 128 upon waking.  I've lost 30 lbs.

I'm on medicine now.  Toprol, 50 mg.  I take that twice a day.  I also take 5 mg of Tapazole before bed to help with the heart racing at night.

On occasion, I feel pretty good.  That lasts for a day or two, maybe even three, then it's back to the fatigue again.  Generally, I very rarely feel like myself.  It's discouraging.  Everything is such an effort.

Hello

I have a few thoughts on your first question. Would it be positive? I need more information. Are you talking about getting off Premarin?

The few symptoms you explain could result in hyperthyroidism and ys the fatigue can be associated there too. In true hyperthyroidism you're reeved up uncontrollably and then crash. Sometimes each day sometimes everyother. Sometimes once a week for examples. It all depends on when your brain finally shuts off and says enough.

To know more it would be great if you could post your thyroid and other labs to see whats happening. Also the reasons for the hysterc.

You must be in Chicago and I know of a terrific doctor there.
