TSH low

Hello,

My wife is having hypoTH. She delivered a baby 4 months back. At that time the dose of thyroxin was 125 mg daily. Before pregnancy, the dose was 75mg daily. Two and half months back the TSH was tested and it was 0.08 (normal range 0.35 - 5.5), we consulted the our endo. He reduced the dose to 85mg daily. Now again the TSH was tested 15 days back, because she had feeling some etching problem in throat and breathing problem sometimes. The TSH was still found low to 0.14. Now the dose reduces to 71mg daily. Still she has some problem of etching in throat.

Could you suggest what is the problem now?

Thanks

The FreeT3 and FT4 was not prescribed by doctor to test. So, the results are not available.

You don't say anything about her Free T3 and Free T4, what are those results?

Eltroxin, Roxin, Thyronorm, Thyrox are all the same as far as thyroxin T4 and their dose equivalence, but they might have different ingredients. Your wife might be allergic to  the ingredients in Thrynorm where she might not be allergic to the ingredients in Eltroxin or the other thyroxin medications. This is just a guess and we do have the same problem here in the US with allergic reactions from different brands of T4 ingrendiences.  Worth the try (?).

You mean the brand of medicine of thyroxin (e.g. Thrynorm or eltroxin). The 75mcg of Thrynorm is not equivalent to 75 mcg of Eltroxin.

Pls let me know.

Perhaps she is allergic to the brand of meds.
