Eye Pain with Hashimoto's

I asked my endo doctor yesterday if he has heard of other patients with Hashi's having eye pain. He said that he has and that they say that your antibodies sometimes mistake your eye muscles as foriegn tissue just like your thryoid and it attacks the eye muscle causing the eye pain. He said this usually passes over time. I was diagnosed with this 6 months ago and am on armour. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I have had some eye discomfort.  My eyes feel dry and sore and puffy like they would after long periods of crying, and it gives me a headache.  I have to close my eyes to "rest" them many times a day.  And If I squeeze them shut as hard as I can, it seems to help the most.
I have noticed with walking up the stairs at work that my leg muscles aren't developing.  After almost 4 months, it is no easier than it was when I started.  It gets harder as the week progresses and then isn't as bad on Monday after I've rested them through the weekend.  So I think that it does affect the muscles.  I'm not sure that it's breaking them down, but I think it is causing them to tire out more quickly and it takes more rest to get them ready.  It could be the same way with the eyes.
I have also recently read on the internet that there are foods that makes the Hashi's worse and I have recently noticed that they do make a difference (Cabbage, Brussel Sprouts, Broccoli, Kale/Kelp, Cauliflower, Soy Beans, Spinach - I may be missing some other foods, and we are supposed to avoid Iodine).  I have read that these are at their worst if they are eaten raw.  I recently had some Cole Slaw (my absolute favorite) and noticed my fingers and ankles swell up within a couple of hours.
I don't know if this will be helpful....  :-)

I'm just trying to give you a bump here...I have Hashi's but no eye pain (yet!).  However, I know it's been a topic on this forum several times. Maybe someone else will respond.
