First time taking synthroid what should I expect? I also have my results from uptake and blood results.

I posted a few questions a while ago, but I can't find them, so I'm starting a new diss. I also posted this in the expert forum. Anyway I would like to say thanks for all the help, you all were very informative on this site. I just got back from the endo and she told me that she suspects hyperthyroidism but she's NOT REALLY SURE what's going on with me! Now, I'm really confused and frustrated! She gave me 50 mcg(0.05 mg) to take once a day and she wants to see me back in one month. She also said that my blood work was normal but my uptake results were not. Here are my uptake and blood results:

Blood work:
SED RATE 12               RANGE < OR =20 mm/h
Thyroglobulin anitbodies <20            RANGE <20 IU/mL
Thyroid peroxidase anitbodies <10    RANGE  OR 20 years: 0.40-4.50

Uptake results:
Findings: There is homogeneous radiotracer activity within bilateral thyroid lobes with no hot or cold nodules identified.

5 and 26-hour radiotracer uptake percentages were calculated at 18 and 42%, respectively which is slightly elevated.

Impression:
No evidence of cold nodules are seen. The previous ultrasound showed multiple subcentimeter cystic lesions within the thyroid gland. The size of the of lesions are too small to be reliably visualized on a thyroid scan.
Slightly elevated thyroid uptake percentage. Please correlate clinically.

Is there anything I should know before taking synthroid and are the cystic lesions anything I should be concerned about?

Thanks a lot!

If the doctor suspects hyperthyroidism you should not be on Synthroid, which could make you more hyper my lowering the TSH and increasing the free t4.

What are your thyroid levels?
