Hopefully someone with knowledge on Parathyroid glands will be along to help you with that.
Im not to sure on that..but the parathyroid glands can become enlarged, if you have problems with this maybe this is what the doctor meant by glandular.?.
Could an overactive Parathyroid cause the thyroid to feel enlarged?
Multinodular goiter. "Goiter" is a term used to describe any enlargement of the thyroid gland. Several factors can lead to a goiter, including the presence of a number of thyroid nodules. This condition, called multinodular goiter, can cause a tight feeling in your throat and difficulty breathing or swallowing.
You may not have this though at all, have you had a scan done on your thyroid?
The parathyroid glands are small endocrine glands in the neck that produce parathyroid hormone. Humans have four parathyroid glands, which are usually located behind the thyroid gland, and, in rare cases, within the thyroid gland or in the chest. Parathyroid glands control the amount of calcium in the blood and within the bones.
What does multinodular mean; is this related to the Parathyroid?
Yes i think what Red said, i have seen it said and it referred to being multinodular. Are they planing to do a scan on the gland?
Did you ask them what they meant by it? It may mean that they could feel your thyroid being enlarged. If so you need to talk to them and see what they will do about it.
