Goiter and feeling unwell, whats up?

I have a thyroid goiter that is five times its normal size. The doctor biopsied a nodule about 3.5cm across and the result was benign - at this point I should mention that no other nodules were tested as all the doc found in the first test was 100pc thyroid material. My T3/T4 are totally normal and my TSH is 0.33 wheras a normal reading is 0.30. Recently I have been feeling like I am getting a bad cold or allergies leaving me feeling very lethargic. The thing is it doesnt turn into anything, it just makes me feel ikky!  I also noticed that my lymph nodes in my neck are a little swollen. I had an ultrasound back in January and lymph nodes were fine. The ultrasound results mentioned necrosis in my thyroid which scared the hell out of me but my specialist says that I need not worry. I have to do a berium swallow on 16Jun to check if I need my thyroid removed but I have an awful feeling there maybe some cancer in there. I had the test where I swallowed radiactive iodine and doc said my thyroid was working normally EXCEPT I have this unexplained goitre.  Can anyone give me a little insight as I am very scared!

Thanks, but the necrosis was discovered before I had the FNA. Is that a whole different ballgame?

The necrosis can be result of previous intrathyroid hemorrhage, it is a dead tissue.
