HELP Do I really need Armour or do I just need T3?

The compound pharmacy just called me and she said that she has recommened to my doctor that I should start with compounded Armour 15mg.  But, Armour is T3/T/4 and everything you on the forum have told me and everything I have read suggests I take T3.  My lab results are

T4, Free Direct                           1.02                   0.61 - 1.76
TSH                                          0.942                 0.450 - 4.500
Free T3                                      2.7                     2.3 - 4.2

Reverse T3          362 H pg/ml    90 - 350

After she talks to the doctor she is going to call me back so I have to let her know whether I want Armour.  She also said I should take Bladderwack and a few other things, I didn't take it all in what she was saying.  I will find out more when she calls back.

Please Help, Jena

You still need a good ratio of T4 to T3. To me it looks like you would benefit from both. BUT.....I think you need a higher dose of T3 for the time being to get your reverse T3 down.
T3 is very short lived .....about 5-6 hours, so you need to dose out throughout the day appropriately, unless the pharmacy compoound it into time release for you.
I might even agree that for a short period of time you go on T3 only to see if you can get your reverse T3 down. But I would bet you will need more T3 than T4 in the future as well. Just my opinion of course! :)
