This is from ChitChat. She was able to remember the name of the poster from a few months back, then **POOF**, brain fog got her and she posted this to someone else. I'm still amazed that she remember who it was in the first place.....
"Check for posts by AttheEndofMyRope ... she had posted alot about issues with her boss .. she needed RAI .. about 8mos ago if memory serves me right and all turned out ok for her ..........gee, wonder how she is doing! "
WHO IS IT THAT posted boss problems about 8-10 months ago .. maybe she can search under her screename to see she is not alone!!!!!
Her name escapes me .......................
Like you PLANNED to get sick? Jeez! How cold and uncaring is she? That's just awful. Being that she's a nurse, she should know better than compare your issue to others. Everyone is different! Unbelieveable that she laughed after telling her about the biopsy results. I sure would hate to have her for a nurse!! She best watch it, or she'll have the chicken club running after her. Then she'll be sorry! :-)
Congrats on your upcoming marriage! Stick close to the forum, as there are lots of kind, caring people here that will help you through this.
Lori
She will get her day too. It happens to the best of them. Listen to all the advice here and take care of this issue - then go start a great life heading into marriage.
You deserve it and need to live it -- stress free!!
thank you all for your kind words, this forum has been great, i certainly don't feel alone anymore :) none of my familly have thyroid issues so i didn't really know much about it till these nodules sprung up in my neck one day!
she's prob not impressed cos i'm taking 3 weeks off in sept to get married and go on honeymoon! but i'm entitled to holiday and i'm entitled to be off sick too!
Thanx again for all your support x x x
Your boss sounds like a real piece of work. It will come back and bite her in the arse, of this I am certain.
You just worry about you- surgery and side effects and medication are nothing to take lightly, so save your energy for taking care of yourself. We are all here for you if you need to talk/vent/scream/cry/laugh!
How true! We are here for you.
What is it with some nurses? I guess there are a lot of really good ones so when one is a bit off, that one sticks out. A nurse, who is the wife of someone I know is like what you describe, she blows off every single thing like it's no big deal. Then when no one tells her anything, she feels left out. It's so weird.
Hang in there.
I know it's hard, but try and not let your boss get you down. Concentrate on taking care of yourself. That is more important.
Everyone here is wonderful and will give you all the support you need.
Your boss is a certified bee-otch. She is jealous of you because you are smart and pretty and kind and she is nasty.
Dont worry about her. Karma will get her in the end. One day maybe she'll need the support of her boss and wont get it! Dumb*ss!!!
I know you are stresesd and scared, but trust me, we HAVE ALL BEEN THERE / ARE THERE. We are here for you. Vent away!!!
I'm sorry to hear that your boss is acting that way!! I have a male boss and he has been truly wonderful. I've been off work since the end of Feb. because I'm having a terrible time adjusting to my meds after a TT. I wouldn't know what to do if he wasn't so supportive. I know my nob will still be there when I get myself straightened out. I wish I had been on vacation for the last 7 weeks....not...pure hell!!
Sorry, don't let her get you down. Worry about yourself and take care of yourself first!!
The suspicios nodule may require core biopsy. the FNA biopsy can pick up only few cells, while core biopsy takes the sample of the nodule tissue.
Oh my God - that is harassment! What a horrible individual this woman is. There really is no excuse for her vile behaviour. It is tough enough when you are ill and uncertain about treatments. She is not an expert in this area simply because her mother had treatment - I think we would all hope that medicine evolves and improves with research and time. One treatment does not fit all - hence the multi billion pharmacogenomics industry!
I do wish you well and hope you return to your old self soon.
(I know you are probably too stressed to even contemplate reporting such behaviour at the moment but an off the record chat with your union representatives may give you some piece of mind and recourse later if you so choose)
What an absolute b****h your boss sounds. How can someone be so callous when you are not very well and facing surgery and could really do with some sympathy and understanding.
I know it is not easy but try not to let it get you down, just keep thinking positive and that soon you will be getting better and feeling good again.
Good luck.
oh yeah forgot to mention, she's a nurse and so am i! (she's the matron)
