Hi Tamra
Thanks so much for your response. Actually I have a hypertension condition and my doctor ordered the Thyroid tests to rule out for it being one of the causes.
I am yet to take the results to the doctor.
Thanks again for your valuable input.

BTW - TSH is a pituitary hormone and not always reliable; however, since most docs rely heavily on that test, you may want to let your doc know that your TSH is above the acceptable limit of 3.0 according to the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). They have recently lowered the threshold to 3.0, so your doc is using old standards.

Unfortunately, your TSH and FT4 levels are a little on the hypo side, but I don't see any TPOab or TGab for Hashimoto's. Hashi causes 90 percent of hypothyroidism in developed countries. In the early stages of Hashi, our thyroid levels will swing high to low to normal, depending on the week, so TSH and FT3/FT4 doesn't always paint the full picture. Total T3 and T4 is a waste of time. The freeT3/4 tests are more accurate. Don't know why your doc ordered both.
Considering the fact that your TSH is a little high. (I have Hashi and my TSH never went above a 2.74) you should demand the TGab and TPOab blood tests. This is what I finally had to do.
Have you had a thyroid ultrasound? Are you tired, IBS, dry skin, anxiety or depression, rashes, muscle cramps, low vitamin levels?
