Hashimoto's and semi solid thyroid nodule

I've had hashimotos for 3 years now.  On Thyroxine 50 umg a day.   Recently had problems with feeling anxious, irritated, frustrated - saw my GP who found my TSH to be 0.05 he reduced my thyroxine with 100umg less a week, for a period of 2 weeks, In that 2 week period I started feeling difficulty in swallowing, extreme tiredness, difficulty turning my head to the left side, Was send for thyroid ultrasound and a semi - solid cyst 2.5 x 1.8 x 2.2 was found on the left thyroid lobe.   Also both thyroid lobes consistent with Hashimoto's.  TSH at that time was 30 - currently on 100umg of thyroxine a day.  Going for Thyroid test (Radioactive Iodine) on Wednesday to determine "Hot" or "Cold nodule"  Have an appointment with a Endocrine surgeon 8 October to discuss further test or treatment.  Thyroid antibodies also increased. T4 and T3 also not in normal range (sorry don't have figures)

Would just like to here from anyone that had similar related problems and what to expect any advise or experience regarding this.

Was told not to handel my children for more that 30min at a time for a 24 hour period after RI test - my yongest is 6 months - Any advise?

Thanks
