Headache after hemithyroidectomy

Hi all I'm a newbie to this site and thyroid problems. Two weeks ago I had a right hemithyroidectomy due to 2 inconclusive fna's as well as compression issues . All is going well with the healing process except for a constant headache which is driving me nuts! So far the gp has suggested that it may be due to the anaesthetic? Blood tests all came back ok. I can not shake it and I have to go back to work next week( im a carer for people with  quadraplegia) which is quite physical. I have been doing neck stretches every day, drinking loads of water and getting massages with no improvement. Has anybody else had this problem? Thanks

That is one heck of a drop in free T4.  I need my Free T4 and Free T3 above mid range.

Free t4.     19.                   13
Free t3.     5.7.                   Didn't test
I forgot to mention that I have changed from a calm  chilled out controlled person into a cry baby who seems to have lost most of my intelligence? I go back to my surgeon for my post op and test results Monday hopefully I will get some answers.

Magnesium levels may have dropped due to surgery so you might want to give magnesium supplements a try. Your symptom might be due to not enough thyroid hormone (a normal lab doesn't mean you cannot be suffering hypothyroid symptoms) however this might be temporary. Do you have your thyroid labs results?

"There were 881 near-total, 1538 subtotal, and 1051 hemithyroidectomies (total 3470). Postoperative follow-up was 2 to 15 years. Twenty-eight percent of the hemithyroidectomy patients suffered permanent hypothyroidism compared to 100% of the near-total and 87% of the subtotal patients. Forty-six percent of the hemithyroidectomy patients suffered temporary hypothyroidism compared to 100% of the near-total and 93% of the subtotal patients." - Hypothyroidism following partial thyroidectomy.
