One last ? re surgery .....

Do they use a catheter?  I assume it is inserted and removed before you wake up or shortly thereafter?  This is just what I need right now if I have a urinary tract infection .... C~

I had a catheter for the last surgery but it was for my substernal goiter since they had to cut through my sternum they didnt want me moving around.
I will be thinking of you and saying prayer for you as you go through your surgery.

Now I am in stitches laughing (but not so funny of course) bcz if they goof and take out my gallbladder it wouldn't be a bad thing ... as gallbladder surgery is on the list of elective to do's in the near future, too LOL!

I think they did use a catheter on me but pull it out before I returned from LaLa Land.  BTW...when I had my surgery a few wks ago, during my pre-op a bunch of people were coming in asking me all kind of questions.  My favorite one was "Your're in here for gall bladder surgery, right?"  I felt like asking for a red sharpey pen and putting a big "DO NOT CUT" signe on my belly with an arrow pointing to my thryroid!!!

Follow through on that game plan!  If fact, I think I'll do the same.

I never had one for any of mine, neither did any of my sisters.

By the way, the doctors will be working on the other end, you do realize that, right??!!  :-)

Sorry, just trying to make you smile about SOMETHING.
