High Blood Pressure

As far as living a healthy lifestyle I've got it. I haven't been able to exercise as much as I wanted while I was incredibly fatigued, but I'm picking that back up. The thing is that for nearly a year I've had blood pressure that is all over the place. I think it was 140/105 at the dentist on Thursday. It's got to be secondary in nature. I'm 26, eat incredibly healthy, have good weight and BMI (I'm a size 2 or 4). I can't go on blood pressure meds. I've read that high blood pressure tends to be a symptom of hypothyroidism. I've only  been on hypo meds for 6 weeks. Does the blood pressure regulate? What do you guys do for treatment of this symptom?

I just read some of the related discussions. Of note might be that I've been suffering from awful PMS. When I had my BP checked last week I was on my period but not feeling horrible like I did during PMS. Which causes which?

Oh how I do love a good mystery!

I don't feel heat. Like you it isn't a constant thing. I tend to go through time periods where it's high and then a period where it's normal.  I watch my sodium in addition to the healthy diet. I haven't had my cholesterol checked in over a year so I'm going to ask for that to be checked. Last time it was normal.

hmmmmmm.............

Maybe more may have a better answer  for you - but I find for me that it is not such a constant high rate all the time - but if I get exerted then I can spike a bit in BP and it takes a while to go back down. This includes when I am stressed or agitated too.

I really don't take it serious when I have it going on - that may not be wise on my part at all.

I know I have constant high cholestrol and try diet to control that. Not doing FAB on that issue.

Did you try lowering your sodium intake?
