Can I just test Free t4 only?
I am getting tested at a lab on my own and self paying. Can I get JUST free t4 done or do I also need TSH and Free t3? Whenever i tested Fre t3 I have converted well before so maybe skip ft3 and get free t4 and tsh? Want to save money.
If I had to choose only one test it would be Free T3. The reason being that hypothyroidism can be defined as "inadequate T3 effect in tissues throughout the body."
