Well, I'm now down to a week before my surgery (again), and stress and nerves are starting to get the best of me (again!). I'm having trouble sleeping, my stomach is a mess, and those 10 pounds Shannon lost? Well, I know where she can find them.  I used to lose weight with stress, but not anymore!

I've told my husband which of my nieces is to get which pieces of my grandmothers jewelry and reminded him where the key to the fire safe is.  However, I have stopped waking him up in the middle of the night to do so.  =)

To be perfectly honest, the scar doesn't bother me, a cancer diagnosis doesn't bother me (the endo already said she's positive it is, so that's how we've been planning/discussing), but the actual surgery itself is what keeps me up at night. Anesthesia terrifies me. I had my tonsils out when I was 5...that's the only time I've had it.  I just don't know what to do with myself.  I'm a nervous wreck.

Viv - don't feel guilty at all about a positive post-op post! I love to read stuff like that. It gives me great hope, so thank you!!!

I have my surgical consult today at 3:45pm.  I have been having surgery dreams.  I am officially freaking out.  Worst part- I have lost about 10 pounds since my diagnosis due to stress.  Being that I am a size 0, it's really not that attractive when I lose weight.  None of my pants fit and my hair is breaking off, nails breaking, etc.  This is BEFORE surgery!!!  I'm actually looking forward to gaining some weight so that I can fit into my pants.  Scary.

I almost feel guilty saying this, but I feel really good post-op. The worst part is this stupid tube coming out of my chest. My 11-year-old is calling me FrankenMom. Today is day three.

I've had a few hot flashes, occasionally hear rhythmic beating in my right ear (what's that about?!), and from time to time by distance vision is  a bit blurry. Nothing horrendous. But I do have to ask, is that all normal?

Well, my post surgery sucks.  I wish I had never had it done.  Cold, tired and soft nails not to mention flat hair.  I just wonder if it was worth it?!?

My surgery was last Tuesday.  Some of the skin around my neck is numb and sometimes I get a numb feeling up my right side to my ear and then it goes away. Hubby says all my nerves in the area were stirred up. I'm still really tired too. My fingertips are cold, but I think that will be until my meds are straightened out. After having said all this, I really do feel pretty good.

Today I am going to try and get back to some of my routine.
