Hyper and fat

I have been battling being heavy for some 6 years I lift weights run everything for years my blood tests have been a little bump not much to be concerned about.   Well after a heart attack at 38 following a strict diet and exercise regimen I am still gaining finally at my witts end I went to the doctor that little bump is hyperactive thyroid.   I go for a scan Thursday.   Why am i gaining and not losing.  Will I lose weight.   Should I get my thyroid cut out I am so aggravated.   And to think the doctor wanted to send me for lap band ha.  I don't eat but 1000-1200 calories a day.   I have read heart breaking blogs of people having the same problem can someone please show me light at the end of the tunnel.

How did you reverse your insulin resistance?

Well.   I am not insulin resistant.    What does your diet consist of.    If that is your picture you look fabulious .

I didn't lose weight when I was hyperthyroid due to insulin resistance.  I already had insulin resistance and this condition worsened to pre diabetes once I was hyperthyroid. I only started to lose weight since reversing my insulin resistance.
