Hyper or Hypo

Accidentily found some thyroid issues when I went to PCP for back problems.  Blood work came back  indicating thyroid "problems".  TSH is .27 ,T4 1.0.
Had the ultrasound which showed nodules on both sides and a goiter w/abnormal thyroid functions.  Had the uptake scan, results said after 24 hrs thyroid function 18.7%, lower aspect of normal.
Prescribed .25 mcg of synthroid.  Have NOT started taking it.  --I am also in menopause. (if that makes any diff?)

You need to get them to test your Free T3 and Free T4 as they are better indicators of how much hormone you are getting. TSH and Total T4 do not provide a complete picture of what is going on.

Looks like hyper to me. What did your doctor say? Are you scheduled to back for more lab work?
