I do no knowt the cause of my hypothyroidism I just know that I had low levels hormones. I took a blood test I do not know the exact name of the test that was done with my blood work. I did not get the test results from my doctor.

What was the cause for your hypothyroidism?  Was it Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, which is the most common cause?   What result was not normal?  Was it TSH?  Please post any thyroid related test results you have, along with their reference ranges.  I am asking all these questions in order to better answer your question.

I expect that the 25 mcg of T4, which is only a starter dose, will be insufficient to relieve hypo symptoms.  It depends somewhat on your Free T3 and Free T4 levels when you started the med.  You may need to continue to increase meds as necessary to relieve symptoms.

What were you diagnosed as having?  What was the diagnosis based on, symptoms, or lab test results? If test results, please post them, along with reference ranges.   What pills are you talking about?
