That's more like it! That is double what you've been on. Maybe you should add it 25 mcg at a time. It's not good to raise it too much all at once. (Can cause symptoms) Go up on the dose every 10 days or so until you get to 100 mcg. (you can cut your old pills in half to do this.) Then stay at 100 for 6 weeks and retest blood. I'm sure you will even have to go higher, but wait until labs and take it slow. Good luck and God Bless!
My endo has raised my synthroid to 100mcg starting in the morning, thanks for the advice!
free T4 0.35 (range 0.61-4.00)
TSH 30.00 (range 0.40-4.00)
50mcg of Synthroid is far to little for someone without a thyroid gland. My daughter was born without a gland and when she was 8 years old she was on 100mcg per day of Synthroid. I definitly think you and th1269 are being underdosed! (but especially you!) Get a new doctor right away if you can. You need your TSH, FREE t3 and FREE t4 tested and your meds raised ASAP!
He did do blood tests, and ekg and a lung catskan. I am so frustrated.
You should have had labs done within 4-6 weeks. Ask your Dr to run labs on you right away, so you have an idea where your levels are at.
I had my TT on August 26th, I'm taking 50mcg Synthroid and having horrible chest pains and lots of anxiety.
What???? Xanax for shortness of breath and palps???!!! What were your thyroid levels at this time? These are signs of hypo and hyper both. Did he bother to run a Free T4 and Free T3 on you with a TSH??
I usually get these symptoms when I am hypo, and then I know it is time for labs and med increase.
How long ago did you have surgery? 125 mcg of synthroid is not a complete full dosage with you not having a thyroid, in my opinion.
