Hypothyroid and anxiety

im hypothyroid and have conflicting symptoms (tremors, coldness, morning cold sweats,) all causing anxiety which is probably the root of some symptoms. The docs started me on .75 mcg Synthroid which made me go hyper and to the ER. I've got a new endo and she suspects that I'm having adrenal hyperactivity to the meds so she's testing my adrenal levels. She's probably going to start me up again on synthroid very low dose.
Question: I'm taking low dose of ativan which works but need to switch to something less addictive. Tried zoloft made me sick and desperate. Has anyone tried buspar and what did you think?

I was on buspar.  It was very mild.  No side effects at all after the first three weeks or so.  Go on it gradually...1/2 a tablet twice a say for a week or so then a full tablet twice a day.  I had bad brain zaps but they diminish.  It would hurt my stomach when i took it in the a.m. for a couple of minutes.  Nice thing is its nonaddictive and its eady to go off of.  Just rough getting on it.
