Thanks gimel.
I would love to find someone who has had a Thyroidectomy and who has experienced hypoglycemia. I feel nothing will help and have no idea what could help me. Everything is a big question. Wish a doctor knew for sure what's wrong w/ me. I don't remember the last time I've felt good. Maybe 2 hours out of the day I will feel good. My life quality *****.
When you switched, your dose was effectively lowered. One grain of Nature-Throid is approx. 75 mcg of T4 med. So you went down by about 25%. As I mentioned, your lab results indicate the need to increase your meds.
*mcg was on 100 mcg of levoxyl
Sorry I posted that before the site showed your post. I am on 65mg -1 grain of nature throid. Was on 100mg of levoxyl for the year prior with barely any t3
Since you just got those blood test results, it would be a good time to ask the doctor to increase your meds and raise your Free T3 and Free t4 levels.
You didn't respond to the questions about meds and dosage before and after the switch.
I'm 5'5-165 lbs..I run 3 miles every day and eat very healthy. Eat a high protein diet to help my hypoglycemia but my hypoglycemia is getting unbarable even when I eat the right things and several small meals a day.
I know my lack of thyroid function is causing these blood sugar spikes.
What was your med and dosage before switching to Nature-throid? What is your dosage of Nature-throid?
From your lab results I'd say that you have a way to go to get up to levels that seem to be required for symptom relief for many people. Many of our members report that symptom relief for them required that Free T3 was adjusted into the upper part of its range and Free T4 adjusted to around the midpoint of its range.
I also did some searching of the archives and found this lpost that I thought might be of interest to you.

not sure but i can tell you that i have had serious problems with hypothyroid and hypOglycemia. so i guess it could work the other way around too. i am sure the hypoglycemia was a symptom of the thyroid condition because when my numbers are better i have no hypoglycemia but when i start having hypoglycemia i know its time for my t3 meds.
I have no experience with hypoglycemia, but some of the old posts I have read on the Forum lead me to believe that getting your FT3 and FT4 levels raised will help.
Beyond that, I think that if you click on Totie's name, and send her a PM, she would be happy to relate her experiences with TT and hypoglycemia.
