Hypothyroidism and Nyquil

I take .05 mg of Levothyroxin for my Hypothyroidism, is it okay to take Severe cold/flu Nyquil? It says on the bottle to check with a pharmacist first.

Thanks Barb for responding,
I have an appointment set up for a MMR shot with my DR office on Tuesday, so I will be talking with them about my sickness as well. I don't think I will be getting my shot either, just a guess.
But I just need something to get me by the next 2 days and thought I'd find out about what the side effects were if I took the Nyquil, I just don't want any complications in the process.
I took the Nyquil last night anyways and slept for awhile. I don't feel like there were any problems. Luckily, I will be staying in bed today and relaxing before my busy school week ahead.
Again, Thank you for the response and giving me some insight into what you have done. :)

I'm not a pharmacist, but I do take Nyquil when I have a cold/flu to help relieve symptoms; however, I do not take it in close proximity to my thyroid medication i.e  I leave several hours between the 2.   That said - if you have a severe cold/flu you should check with your doctor, in case you have a bacterial infection for which antibiotics would be warranted.

As we know, the flu is a virus and is not helped by antibiotics, however, in "severe" cases, you might still want to see your doctor, as s/he may be able to give you something better than Nyquil to ease your symptoms.

Do be aware that Nyquil contains a lot of alcohol, which may not be appropriate with certain other medications or with certain conditions. Check with your doctor or pharmacist.
