When is it safe?

I had RAI (100mc) last Thursday and was released Saturday from the hospital.  When is it absolutely safe to be around the family full time?  Thanks....

hey! my doctor is having me stay in the hospital from monday to wednesday and then another four or five days when i get home. so i think you will be pretty safe after a week.

THey did tell me 3 to four days from when I got home- so basically a week total.  I just wanted to know if people actually isolate themselves longer or shorter.

I'm surprised you weren't given any guidelines.  I was in isolation at home for 48 hours.  I live by myself, so no kids to worry about.  I think most docs recommend around five days to avoid children and pregnant women.  I had some one dog sit for me for 4 days just to be safe...I didn't want a "hot" dog...get it?    I would call the center who did your RAI to make sure.
