Help, I don't know which way to go!

I have a strong family history of thyroid problems on my mom's side.  90% of her siblings have some sort of problem.
My mom has Hashimoto's

About 5 months ago I started having a lot of symptoms that made me think I may have a thyroid problem:
Fatique
Very heavy periods, to the point I can’t do anything for 2 days, TMI I Know.  I did however, have a sonogram and have a large fibroid and numerous small ones.
Headaches
Poor concentration
Poor Memory (very very very very poor)
Sudden weight gain (I gained  20 lbs in 3 weeks and can’t loose it even with working out and eating very healthy)
Dry skin ( my skin feels like it is burned)
Constipation, yes TMI again.
Hair breaks off easily
Decreased libido
Ringing in my ears

I went to my OB who did bloodwork and told me my thyroid was normal.  Sorry, I am having a hard time getting the exact results from her and the breakdown of all the bloodwork she did.  When I went back for a follow up she decided to text my ANA suspecting Lupus.  I have no muscle or joint pains.  I do have a rash on my arms but it does not look like the Lupus rash pictures I have seen.  My ANA came back abnormal 1:140 and she referred me to a rheumatologist.

I can not get the rheumatologist she referred me to, to call back.  So I am looking for another one to call.

In the meantime I don't think my problem is Lupus and feel like I am wasting time by going to a rheumatologist.

Please help
I need to know how to look at my bloodwork (if I can ever get it)
If I can't I need to make sure the next Dr. I go to does the right bloodwork can someoen educate me some?

Any thoughts on the ANA could this be linked to a thyroid disorder?

That is very significantly lower, but check it for a few more days, just to have a good average.  If you want to read about temperature testing, here is a good site.

When you get your blood test results, post them and you will get some good input from forum members.

Doctors are required to give you a copy of your test result, if you ask for them.  That's the first step that I would do right away.  Hopefully the testing included free T3 and free T4, along with TSH.  From your symptoms, it sounds likely that you are hypo t.  You can get some further confirmation of this by checking your temperature for several times a day for several days and comparing the average to the optimal level of 98.6.  Anything sig. lower, along with your symptoms, I would bet on hypothyroidism.  When you get some more info, post it and you can get good advice from the many experienced members of this forum.
