For the last month I have done tests for Hypothyroid, my first test showed TSH at 9.4, so my recently new doctor sent me for more work and a ultrasound. My ultrasound came back clear and my second blood test came back as TSH at 7.2, and T4 free at 9. So my doctor didnt even call me back into the office, he just spoke with me over the phone. He said he felt my levels were not high. He said he would start me on Levothyroxine .05mg. I have had symptoms for years but my old doctor put it down to premenopausal and age, I am only 42. I cannot lose weight no matter what I do. And I am tired of feeling tired.
I guess my question is are my levels high, and does this dosage seem right? After all my research this dose seems like it wont have an impact on anything.
Thanks
