Hello.
In 2010 (In Europe) I was diagnosed with small thyroid, we found it out through an ultrasound that was done. Labs were always normal. I do not want to bore you with any stories, so I am going to go straight to the point. I came to USA in 2014, and that's when I ran out of my thyroid medicine. Now, all the labs were appearing normal because I needed to make sure the medicine is being given to me correct. Of course no doctor could put me on medicine since the labs were all normal.
The measurements in 2010 were in mm:
right lobe: 12x13x33 = 2,6ml left lobe: 10x11x29 = 1,6ml thyroid isthmus: 3cm
The thyroid is small. Volume of thyroid 4,2ml
Measurements in 2023:
The thyroid is normal in size and echotexture.
The right lobe of the thyroid
measured 3.6 x 1.3 x 1.1 cm, and the left thyroid lobe measures 3.8 x 1.3 x 0.9 cm.
No suspicious thyroid nodules.
Now they didn't provide with the volume of the thyroid but from my math it is at 4,8ml.
The measurements are not that off from 2010 and 2023, so why would they say that the thyroid is in normal range?
