I need help with Hashimoto's

I have recently been diagnosed with Hashimoto's.  I had an episode of hyperthyroidism that was terrible.  Now my levels have returned to normal, but I am having heart palpitations and pressure in my throat.  I am also having oral thrush that just keeps returning.  Has anyone else had oral thrush with Hashimoto's?  Also, my doctor and endo want to wait and see what  my thyroid levels do in 6 weeks, meanwhile, my heart is pounding out of my chest, I don't think I will make it for six weeks!  I'm just not sure what to do, any advice would be great.

Hi there. No I have never had oral thrush, but funny enough I was talking to a wholistic doctor two days ago and he said anyone with an auto-immune disease who gets oral thrush means they have a high yeast infection in their body that needs to be dealt with.
I must be lucky, as I am on a gluten free diet so I think that  has helped!

Often anti-biotics can flare up thrush too. I DO get vaginal thrush on anti-biotics, but must admit, again, since being on a gluten-free diet, have not had that in years when taking anti-biotics.

Hope that helps!

also when was the last time you had your free T4,free T3 and TSH done. make sure they check your freeT3 atleast once also. ther are rare patients that only have elevated T3 levels and could cause your current symptoms. also with these symptoms an ekg and a consult with a cardiologist would be a good idea as well. hope this helps.

unless you have been on antibiotics your oral thruch would suggest an immune system change which may or may not be linked to your thyroid disease. do you have diabetes or have you been checked for that. there is a rare  condition when you have autoimmune thyroid disease and diabetes (which is autoimmune also )and develop oral thrush. its not something terrible it just needs proper monitoring and the proper diagnosis.very treatable.
