Actually a TSH of .21 on Armour isn't hyper.....armour always gives a hyper looking tsh. You have to go by the Free T4 and Free T3 ranges to reach optimal level. Did you have these done? The free t4 level should be mid range and the free t3 level should be mid high normal range. Proper dosaging of Armour is by the free's not the tsh and that is why so many people have failed results with armour....a lot of drs don't realize the difference in dosaging from armour and synthetics.
Thank you for your imput! My free t4 .79 (.58 - 1.64) was normal, the free t3 / 5.29 (2.50 - 3.90) was higher than normal.
I am still tired, even after 10hrs of sleep, achy, short term memory - I find myself forgetting and repeating myself to others, often. Long term memory is fine. Dry skin, etc.
The endo wants me to take another sleep apnea test, the last one I did not sleep but one hour all night, and the hour reported no apnea.
I have no drive, no interests, and yes they already have me on antidepresants. I am frustrated since the last time I felt this way (seven years ago) it was my thyroid and now I am told my thyriod is fine with my current medication and leaning towards hyper range! I want the zest back into my life!
Maybe the ratio in armour isn't right for you. Your T4 level is so low normal....maybe your dr can cut back armour dosage and add in small amount of T4 med with your armour. I have read of a lot of drs doing this in order to find the correct ratio for each patient.
Has anyone done any adrenal testing on you? Have you had a morning cortisol draw?
So sorry to hear you feeling so bad...I hope things work out for you.
Let us know what you find out.
