Increasing Levothyroxine dosage side effects?

I am a 34 year old female that has Hashimotos Disease.
I have been on Levothyroxine for the past 5 years or so, and recently my new doctor increased my dosage from 88mcg to 100mcg, due to my blood work results.
I also take Citalopram 30mg for anxiety, and Xanax as needed (rarely).

I have been taking the new dosage (100mcg) for about 3- 4 weeks now. I am experiencing a huge flux in anxiety (it was always pretty stable before since I have been on the Citalopram; I haven't had to take Xaxax in over 6 months).
Last week I experienced a huge anxiety attack. Since then I have had tightness in my chest, and a general feeling of anxiety. During my episode, I also felt dizzy and very lightheaded (which I did not experience other times I had an anxiety attack)

How likely is it that this is from my new dosage of Levothyroxine?
If so, do these 'new' symptoms gradually go away or does this mean I am taking too much of the Levothyroxine?

Any info would be appreciated if you have any knowledge on this or have experienced it.
I have already alerted my doctor who I will be seeing soon, but wanted to get some outside advice.

Thank you so much for reading!!

I have anxiety when increasing my dose, as well. I also get it while hypo though, too.

I had the same issues when I first started taking levothyroxine. Everyone kept telling me that the levo doesn't cause side effects, but I felt like I drank about 25 cups of coffee when I took it!
That was 50mcg, my doctor kept increasing the dosage because my TSH was so high. Between 300 and 800. with every increase I just felt worse.

I have Hashimoto's Encephalopathy which is a lot different from HD, but still effects the thyroid. It took about 3 months before my body adapted to the levothyroxine and I am on 100mcg now.

Your body may just need time to adapt to it, but definitelyconsult with your doctor. I had to strongly insist that I was having side effects like heart racing, tremors, and just feeling yucky in general.

Good luck and hope you will feel better soon :)

Please post your thyroid related test results and their reference ranges shown on the lab report.  Were you having any of those symptoms before the med increase?
