Is Radio Iodine safe for pregnancy?

I am suuffering from Graves Disease from a long time.I took "Neomarcazole" and "Eltroxine" from 15 yrs. Now I want to be pregnant. My Doctor suggest me to take Radio Iodine. My question is that if I take Radio Iodine then can I concieve? Is It safe .

They do say wait 6-12 months after RAI BEFORE trying to fall pregnant.

I had RAI due to surgery being dangerous at the time due to episodes of thyroid storm but if I had to have it again....I would in a heartbeat.
I havent looked back since RAI last June 2008.
