Is ativan safe?

I have been having heart "flutters" in my chest for a few days now. They are pretty constant. Is ativan safe for me to take? I don't have a known heart condition but I have been having chest pain, pain in left arm, neck pain and stomach issues for the past few weeks. Docs have run tons of tests and no answers but NO heart tests. All GI tests. I emailed the Dr today to see if she thought it could be heart related but I didn't get a response yet. I don't want to take the Ativan unless it's safe. Maybe all my problems are stress/anxiety related?

My last TSH was on 11/29 and it was 2.65 but on 11/4 was 4.50 so it is slowly coming down. I am currently on the same dose of meds 75mcg of Synthroid, coming off of 125mcg of Synthroid...I was over-medicated and was cutting my pills in 1/2 because of anxiety. I should add that I have a slightly enlarged right lobe with no sizable nodules.

Any thoughts?

I took clonazapam for anxiety while on synthroid so I am sure  there is no prob I would ask your pharmasist to be sure. I get bad anxiety and panic attacks along with the heart palps when I go hyper to.

I used Ativan last year with no problems.

I never used it long enough or at a high dose, so addiction was not a problem.

I took 1/2 of the lowest dose.
