Is felling nauseous a symptom of going hypo for RAI treatment for pap. thy ca?

Hi Everyone~

Well, I am preparing for my RAI treatment.  I wnet off my Cytomel on Saturday and I miss it sooooo mcuh -lol!  I feel horiible.  Today I have nausea which is making the fatigue worse.  is this a normal symtom for going hypo for RAI?  I cannot believe how fast I started felling bad after stopping the Cytomel.  I start the LID tomorrow.  If I continue to feel this way, it shouldn;t be a problem since I will nto feel like eating anyway.

Thanks!

YES.  I was so nauseated, it was horrible.  And it was the worst after the RAI. I never felt like eating so the LID didn't really bother me. Lost a bunch of weight.  The weirdest thing for me was that some things started to smell funky for me. I had this body wash and lotion from Bath and Body Works called Lavender Chamomile that I just loved to use at bedtime. When I got really hypo and after the RAI the smell of it made me want to barf. That lasted a while but I love it again!

Yes.  Most have a bit of nausea.  I only had a bit but some have a lot.  Call your doc and get a script.  Also, some will disagree, but I did a couple of things to keep me sane and providing a bit of energy while I made that journey.  One was Yerba Mate tea.  You can get it at Trader Joes or a health food store.  Also I added some liquid gensing and dandilion root extracts to my daily routine.  Dandilion root for the relief of water retension and gensing for the added energy it provides.  The Yerba Mate tea is a way to gain energy without all the jitters of coffee.  Hope this helps.  Good luck with your journey.
