Is it possible to have hypothyroid with normal TSH freeT3 and freeT4?

I have had all the symptoms of hypothyroidism, with bizarre moments of hyper (like at one time losing 15 pounds in a month without trying)  which i'm told can be a sign of hashimoto. I usually have a hard time losing weight (like lately can't lose weight even though im fairly active and eating 1100 calories a day). I'm always exhausted, and definitely feel that brain fog i've been reading about (this is not just me, it's pointed out to me constantly). I have insanely dry skin, and sore fingers and ankles every morning, sometimes all day. Swallowing is a little weird in the last few months, but I am allergic to everything and always have a sinus infection, so I have been largely disregarding it. I got tests done, and my TSH is 1.46, my free T4 is , 12 and my free T3 is 4.4   I was a little crushed that I didn't get a clear simple answer, but it seems that is pretty common. My doctor thinks testing for antibodies is useless because of my numbers, and says maybe i have chronic fatigue syndrome (which frankly sounds like a nightmare) or depression.... but I never really feel depressed at all.

Please post the reference ranges for your FT3 and FT4 as they vary from lab to lab.  Just being "in normal range" isn't always good enough for us to feel well.

CFS is a controversial subject.  There are those of us who feel it's really hypothyroidism, which is undiagnosed due to the fact that FT3 and FT4 reference ranges are very flawed.  Many of us find FT4 has to be about the middle of the range and FT3 in the upper half of the range before our hypo symptoms go away.  What's telling is that CFS is often treated with thyroid hormones...

Are you taking thyroid meds?

Have you had a thyroid ultrasound?  Has your doctor palpated your thyroid to see if he feels nodules of enlargement?

Yes its possible and its due to low T4 to T3 conversion better called Low T3 syndrome and not due to thyroid issue instead because of certain deficiencies like vitamin b12, d, ferritin, zinc, selenium etc, high cortisol or due to problems in liver, intestine etc and sometimes for no reason. Your TSH, T4 can all look nice but Free T3 value might be close to lower reference range and feel all kind of hypo symptoms.
