Levothyroxine vs Synthroid

Hey Doc,
I had papillary cancer about 6 years ago.  I just switched from synthroid to levothyroxine about a week ago, and now I'm itching like crazy!  My arms and legs mostly.  It's unbelievable.  Is their enough of a difference between the two drugs to cause such side affects?  Please help!  I'm itching up a storm!  And switching to levothyroxine is the ONLY thing that I have changed!  Thanks!

Yes I too noticed I was itching more on the levo brand. I would call your doctor and have him write dispense synthroid only on it. Your levels could also be off, from the new brand, that might be why your skin is itchy.
