Curious about Natural Thyroid

Hello, I am currently taking 150-200mcg of Levothyroxine and having lots of side effects. I found Thyroid-S online and this seems to be similar to Amour thyroid. Does anyone know much about Thyroid-S ??

Had a "TT" in 05 and have been on Levo ever since, side effects change with dose, but doctor refuses to accept this. I will be seeing a new Endocrinologist soon who does prescribe Natural thyroids, Thyrolar and T3 meds, but I was just curious about Thyroid-S

Everyone here is great, all the info has been helpful.

I now have Nature Throid 1/2 grain and even that is was too much for me right now. Horrible headaches that last all day, I think I am hyper and the T3 meds are causing the problem. I will stop all the thyroid meds for a period of time and start again with 75mcg's of Levo.

For whatever reason the 200mcg's of Levothyroxine became way too much for my system, I did well on 100mcg's and that may be where I end up again. I was taking a anti-depressant while on 200mcg's of Levo and I think that may have played a apart in how my body absorbed the Levo.

The only thing that changed was no anti-depressant and my system went wild. I went hypo and then hyper in 6 months time and I didn't change the dose of Levothyroxine. Thanks for all the great help and advice!!

Thyroid-S is an over the counter type of med.  As such you cannot be sure of the amount of T3 and T4 contained.  To me that is like the old saying of "buying a pig-in-a-poke"  (pun intended).  I'd stick with a porcine NDT type such as Armour Thyroid or Nature-Throid, or the others you mentioned?
