Anyhow Thank you so much for your time. HUGZ Terri
I still think our conditions mirror each other after I read your things.
Here is the deal on the aches.
1. - I believe after your RAI your body is not cconverting hormones right with the meds.
a. Must get the Free T3 and Free T4 tests and we then, can walk you thorugh what to do.
2. - You most likely are magnesium/copper and zinc deficient, RAI kills these hard minerals out for many and most don't know. In order to check it - get the RBC magnesium test done - but supplementing to see if that helps is OK.
3. - Believe it or not - Iodine deficiency can be a problem too. In regular Hashis a bad reaction to Iodine is popular - However after RAI ablation our bodies are robbed of the healthy iodine and you may need to try it to rid the after affects from the RAI - (yes, even after years, this can still pose issues.)
4. - You could also be Vit D and B low and need those. Alsong with amino acids like A-cetaylL and Ltyrosine.
You may want to look into a solid vit supplement package like Fatigue to Fantastic drink. That may help you alot.
It is to early for me to eat tuna but I will eat it for lunch.
Thank you Terri
I used to get leg and foot cramps so bad i would wake up and could barely get out of bed...since i have been on meds I don't have as much of a problem. occasionally i get a leg or foot cramp, but i do notice my toes curling under sometimes and have to make myself uncurl them and my right foot often hurts and my knees ache...so it goes with our adorable disease...Hashi...i baked tuna filets...but i will try the canned tuna...THANKS!
I also hurt in my legs too. Some from my back pain but I also cramp in my calves like Nat.
I do believe it is just part of the Hashi's.
Hi Terri...
I get the leg pains when hypo. Except, you say yours hurt to touch, my pains don't get worse when I touch my legs...it's more like a bad cramp type pains in my calves and I get an aching type pain in my knees when I'm hypo.
It might sound crazy, but, I find it helps the pains if I eat a can of tuna. Not too sure what it is, whether it's the iodine in the canned fish or whatever...but I swear it helps. My endo's wife is hypo and even she agrees with me!! Maybe I (and my endo's wife) are crazy...or maybe it helps. It might be worth a try!!!
Good luck for your results once you finally get them!
