Base lining? Is the guy nuts? Does he have your thyroid levels from when you were perfectly healthy to base this judgement?
You may well be taking too much Armour and your body is reacting, but by taking you off like that is going to make you hypo pretty darned quickly.
Phentermine works pretty much the same as an anti-depressant and as such is not a good thing for thyroid patients. I don't know when doctors will take the time to educate themselves!
I am curious, how did the endo know you are insulin resistant? Did he do testing?
Any pain in the neck needs to be taken seriously, as it could be anything from a fracture (can happen even in our sleep!) to meningitis. I would be going to see another doctor or going to an ER to get checked out. If you choose to go to ER do ask if they will run new thyroid tests as well.
I do feel for you, as I have lived that horrendous place you are in right now, but hang in there, and know you are with people who will help and walk you through your hard times.
Cheers
What are the reference ranges for the T3 and T4? Are they Free or Total? What is your endo basing his thoughts on?
Sorry to ask so many questions, but I don't really see anything in your results that indicates you are over medicated.
He also can't know you are insulin resistant without the proper testing!!
I received my results over the phone I do not know my ranges. I have not been off for almost 4 weeks, I was able to get blood drawn yesterday and will talk to the Dr on Monday. I am exhausted, weak, and have a severe headache. I did get back my thyroid ultrasound results...I have 5 nodes. Two are large and need a biopsy.
The insulin resistance was due to 5 differnt criteria I had from bloodwork last summer. My Trig were high, my waist was the right size, blood pressure is way up to 140/90, Cholsterol was over 200, and something else.
I called the end yesterday and told him I was miserable. He said he had to look at the bloodwork and just to hold out until Monday.
Please make sure you get a copy of your lab report for your records, then post the reference ranges for the T3 and T4, and let us know if they are Free or Total.
