Thank you for your reply.
Thank you for your suggestions. I will talk to my doctor about them tomorrow. I have been on synthroid for about 15 years. I had a TSH about 2 months ago and it was within the normal range. They did not do a T4 and I think they will do one now. I am concerned about the large multi nodule goiter with blood flow on the right. I hope I find out some answers tomorrow. But it will probably just be another referral. The tech that did my ultra sound thought I needed the calified nodules on the left further tested.
biopsy if nodules are larger then 1 cm
Do you have any health complaints? Anxiety, heart tremors, unable to sleep, chest pain, shaky, ear pain, eye pain, GERD, heartburn, diarrhea, ear pounding or ringing?
If so, then get a TSI blood test for Graves disease.
If you also have fatigue, constipation, dry skin, depression, hair loss, dry eyes, muscle cramps, low vitamins, brain fog, migraines, then you need the TPOab and TGab for Hashimoto's.
These diseases can commonly cause goiter/nodules on our thyroid and they need to be treated. I have Hashi and had multi-nodules and a goiter. After taking thryoid hormone those nodules shrunk to pencil points. After giving up gluten, my antibody attacks stopped and my goiter shrunk. You should be seeing an endo who knows how to treat thyroid.
Here is the website where I found my endo. Call the office and make sure the doctor tests for auto-immune thyroid disease with antibody tests and is willing to treat FreeT3 and FreeT4 and give out T3T4 hormone pills as needed.
