My TSH is .036 ulU/mL and my Free T4 is 1.67ng/dL. What these results mean.

If my T4 test numbers read high, does that mean I have too much or too little?  Same question for the TSH numbers.  It is very confusing to me.  What do the combined results of both tests indicate?

TSH is a pituitary hormone that stimulates the thyroid gland to produce thyroid hormone.  So they usually move in opposite directions.    If thyroid hormone is high, the pituitary will produce less TSH.

Has your thyroid status been diagnosed by a doctor?  Are you taking thyroid medication?  What, if any, symptoms do you have?  What is the reference ranges shown on the lab report for those test results?
