NEWLY DIAGNOSED

I was just diagnosed with Hasimoto's Thyroidits/ Hypothyroidism.  I was looking for alternative ways to heal before I go on the Synthroid.  I find my symptoms include a very slow metabolic rate, lethargy, bloating and emotional anxiety and turmoil which seems to outweigh the rest of it.  Help me with the emotions is the something I can do and will the Synthroid help balance this for me as I feel bipolar sometimes though that condition has never been diagnosed! :-)

hello i am just 28 and as for me i was mis diagnosed and it went untreated, i have a total thyroid removal on 11 - 7 - 2007 and so far i am a little off they say it will take some time to get back to normal. i would just keep a close eye on your condition and go for several opinios of you can, dont let it go un treated, good luck youll be in my prayers

Synthorid isnt that bad and you will feel lots better on it.I know everyone is into this "natural healing"but synthroid is made from nature as well Everything comes from nature. the syntrhoid will relieve your bi polar feelings as well.I am bi polar and I have been able to reduce my meds thanks to the synthroid.
